Pete, Interesting. Refrences to power made me think of your Excelsior. It was advertized as the most powerful engine ever put in a motorcycle when it came out in 1915.
I just ran into Tom McBride (1922 Harley J/Cannonball) at the Cycle World Motorcycle Show in the Long Beach Convention Center. He has a original paint 1917 Excelsior he is restoring. I’ll keep you posted. Needs a clutch throw out arm, mainly. He’s going to build the rest of the linkage from castings etc. Thanks, Paul
Hi Paul. I was able to email Tom with a list of sources for the linkage parts he is after. Hopefully we’ll get one more old Excelsior on the road! take care, Pete
