San Francisco 49 Mile Ride is Oct 28th
October 4, 2012
It is almost time for the 12th Annual 49 Mile Ride. Get your old bike ready, and meet us down at the Bayview Boat Club for a day of riding and fun. The largest urban old bike ride in the USA, we had 315 bikes last year of all types. American, British, Italian, German, Japanese, even Russian and Danish bikes. Get there early, Tshirts sell out by 9:30AM. And be sure to find me if you want to volunteer to be a corner marker. Click this link to see some photos. Click this link for even more pics.

What will be the route? Just riding through the city?
Hi John. We ride around the perimeter of the city, starting near the baseball stadium, around the Embarcadero/Fisherman’s Wharf. Then the Presidio/Ft. Point and Ocean Beach to Twin Peaks and down 16th through the Mission back to the Boat Club for lunch. It is based on the traditional SF 49 Mile Drive, but we’ve adapted it a bit for our purpose. see you there.
hello pete is there going to be another ride beside this one?
thxs
Do you mean another ride next year? Yes, the 49 Mile Ride is always the last Sunday in October. It turns out to be the best weekend to avoid events and traffic in SF, and it never rains on that day.
