Cement track racing at Bielefeld 2011

September 10, 2011

Our good friend Uwe G. sent in these photos from the Bielefeld, Germany meet, to compliment his pics from last year, shown here.  They had a bit of trouble with rain this year, it sputtered down and they had very little track time.  (highly banked cement tracks offer very little traction when wet!)

Uwe’s notes:

…not good news about our Zementtrack meet .

It was still raining the whole day. And the track must be dry when you drive.

All drivers waiting for a dry track. Yes, we lucky at 3 pm when he can say

Gentleman start your engines. All drivers go on the track. Yes they now all

very busy.

But after one hour the rain starts again. And that was really the end of the meet.

But the drivers are happy to drive one hour. But it was a lot of time to speak

"gas". And all looking foreword to 2012.

There are interesting boardtrackracers at the start.  Some Harley´s and so on.

Also a v-engine with 8 valves from my friend Thomas Trapp.  Also the great

racers from the Bund Brothers – you have the Excelsior book from Thomas.

From Thomas Bund, i think this year, came a photobook about Indian.

take care, best wishes to all
