Kiehl’s ride. San Francisco 6/18/11

June 9, 2011

The Kiehl’s team is putting on a ride for charity in San Francisco next weekend and asked if I could help publicize it for them.  If you are in the SF area, please come out for a nice ride.   Some folks will remember Kiehl’s as one of the big sponsors of the Legends of the Motocycle show a few years ago.

I’ve chosen a really nice, scenic route to wind through the Marin Headlands, then across the Golden Gate Bridge, through the Presidio and the mansions of Pacific Heights to finish at the new Keihl’s store on Fillmore.  There will be lots of free stuff: coffee, drinks, bridge toll, lunch, parking and best of all;  free Kiehl’s goodies.   Guys, if you don’t know what those things are, check with your favorite female, they all seem to love the stuff.

For this ride, any bikes are welcome.  New ones or old ones, dirt bikes or sport bikes, etc.  The route includes some twisties, but is fully paved.  The highest posted speed limit is 45mph, so little bikes and scooters are fine.

Don’t forget to RSVP so they bring enough lunch for everybody:

Sounds like a great ride. Unfortunately, it is the same day as the Dixon Antique motorcycle swapmeet. Bummer!

Hi Bryan. the Dixon swap meet starts early on Friday morning. By Saturday all the good stuff will be gone. 😉 Saturday is the bike judging at Dixon, so I will miss that, but I’d much rather go for a ride than watch people’s bikes get judged.

I’ll probably miss them both, hehehhehe. I might get to Johnnie Eagles’ to check out my rare M22 Berling mag though. Also thinking of doing a deal with Larry Ramos to work up some of my bikes in trade for parts. Rich guy stuff??? Hehehehe. Have a nice day, Paul

Really appreciate the heads up on upcoming rides, despite the fact I haven’t been able to make one yet!

Thanks Pete for posting and organizing. It should be a lot of fun – great scenery, good people, bikes, and a decent cause. You’re the best. -JZ
