Free DVD of veteran motorcycles
February 12, 2011
Richard in Australia sent in this DVD, showing a lot of bikes on a run around the SW coast of Australia. There is a very large variety of pre 1919 bikes, with footage of them riding around the countryside and a slideshow of photos showing details of the bikes. 40 minutes long, with some extra features showing a hill climb competition. I don’t know what region the DVD is formatted to, but it worked fine in my computer.
Now that I’ve watched it a couple of times, I’ll give it away to the next person who sends in a comment via the link below.
enjoy.

If it doesn’t smoke, how do you know it’s running? Love those old bikes. I’m in Suknothai Thailand buying copies of 1000 year old ceramics while waiting for 2 machinists to finish my Excelsior parts. Thanks for the post, Paul V
G’day Pete & All
Congratulations Charlie on winning the DVD, for anyone else is interested seeing how we do it down under, you can go to http://www.aysemart.com/rally/index.html to see the bikes or order a DVD for yourself.
There will be the 8th National Veteran Motorcycle Rally August 2011 in Kingaroy Queensland Australia for all who are interested.
Keep up the good work Pete, rest often.
Cheers Richard
Hi Guys, thank you Richard for sharing my work with America, here’s a little about the compatibility of the DVD, it is in PAL and has no region set, it’s set on Zero.
It will play on any computer with DVD Playing software.
Most new DVD players in American lounge rooms should have the ability to play PAL by now.
The DVD is packed full; it includes screensavers on Albany, Esperance and Kalbarri and other extras all on Motorcycling in Albany Western Australia. It may not be a Steven Spielberg production, but it can at least give you a peak at what’s happening here.
You can purchase your own DVD via our website, details are there.
