1906 Buick Model F

July 20, 2010

IMG_4005Evan is 22 years old, and has been attending these old car rallies since he was a baby.  Here are some photos of his 1906 Buick two cylinder auto.

He drives the car with his sister and mother as passengers, and he knows the roads well after all these years.

The car is in excellent condition, check out the pinstriping on the leaf springs!  So many details are evident, but my favorites are the headlamps.  They have a very pleasing shape, reminiscent of a torpedo or funnel.

On the way to Saturday’s breakfast, a dragonfly got caught in the radiator.  It didn’t make it to fly again, but made for a decent photo opportunity.

My dad has a 1906 Buick also. He would like to see how much it is worth. Do you have any idea how much yours is worth?

I wish that I had a Buick! I took the photos at a tour for early cars. I’m sure that that your dad could get a price estimate from the finished auctions on eBay, or by contacting the Horseless Carriage car clubs. good luck!
