Here are some random shots of bikes on the 2010 Moto Melee.

Mat Gil’s BSA. Note his work on the bike:  tail section, tank, linkages, fairing, panniers, etc.

Mike broke the Bultaco Curse, being the first rider to finish a Melee on one.  What’s more, he rode it down from Oregon to start the weekend!

A nice view of a bay just north of Jenner.  The Excelsior ran out of gas coming down a  long hill, and I sat for 45 minutes waiting for a chase truck or Melee rider to come by.  When nobody passed, I decided to push the bike to the top of this hill, hoping to coast down into Jenner for fuel.  Of course I couldn’t see that the hill continued to climb around the corner…  It took about 30 minutes to push about 1/4 mile up the steep hill, while cars and trucks zoomed past.  Near the top, eventually a car stopped and offered to grab me some gas from town.  George Shoblo arrived too, and gave me a quart from his tank.  While pushing up the hill, several different guys rode past on modern Harleys, none stopped or offered help.  thanks guys.
